    After the owners of this charming family home redesigned their back garden and added a pool, they decided to change the orientation of the main floor. They removed the wall separating the kitchen and formal dining room in order to create an open, airy great-room across the back of the house. The new kitchen is definitely the center of attention. Cabinets were installed under the bay window where the breakfast area used to be. The granite countertops pick up the wheat-tone of the walls and the dark green of the cabinetry. For all its elegance and style, the kitchen has a friendly, welcoming air.
