This kitchen renovation of a 40 year old post and beam house is a great example of a sophisticated, seamless design that blends perfectly with a post-modern, open-plan home. Inspired by design elements found in other parts of the house, the cabinets were finished in understated, grey-stained maple. The countertops are Silestone, "Tea Leaf", and the new floor and backsplash are tiled in a co-ordinating tumbled marble.
The result is a kitchen with minimal upper cabinetry, lots of counter space, a super island and maximum impact.
