This appealing home responded beautifully to a renovation that eliminated the original, inferior finishing. Slate floors help to connect the spectacular grounds with the interior. Granite countertops and backsplashes continue the theme of natural stone finishes. A new, deep window at the sink frames a small Japanese garden.
The kitchen is a spacious extension of the adjoining family room, while the many French doors and pale green walls add to an overall feeling of bringing the outdoors in. Understated laminate cabinetry with a simple, but dramatic bulkhead above contributes to the sense of serenity, which is central to the total design.
